Leadership Team

Aylsham Community Church is led by a team of elders who are together responsible for the care, ministry and strategy of the church.  In addition, each elder carries specific areas of responsibility:

Simon CircleSimon Gallagher

Simon works full time for Aylsham Community Church and leads the eldership team.  One of his favourite quotes about church is that “everyone is welcome, no-one is perfect and anything is possible!’. Simon has responsibility for overseeing teaching, pastoral care and prayer within the life of the church.  He is married to Ann and they have two daughters (none of whom share his passion for watching sport!)

James CircleJames Taylor

James has an administrative gift that helps church in its practical working and he is passionate about mentoring & helping people realise their potential! James also plays a key operational role for Relational Mission (the Apostolic sphere that Aylsham Community Church is a part of) and therefore helps the church to stay connected to the ‘bigger picture’ of mission in the UK and overseas. James is married to Penny and together they have three boys.

Marshall CircleMarshall Schaitel

Marshall serves the church in a variety of ways, especially in encouraging people to grow in the use of their spiritual gifts.  Along with his wife Chris, they are also involved in running various family and marriage courses.  Marshall and Chris have 3 grown children and they both enjoy walking and enjoying the outdoors.

Peter CirclePeter Atthill

Peter is employed as a full-time Elder at Aylsham Community Church.  He has particular responsibility for the day to day running of Jubilee Family Centre and the mid-week ministries.  He is married to Sue and has two teenage children.

Bruce CircleBruce Cairns

Bruce has an excellent teaching gift which he uses to equip Christians with sound Biblical knowledge, helping them to think Biblically.  He is also Chair of Trustees for Aylsham Community Church. Bruce is married to Viv and they have two grown up children.  In his spare time Bruce enjoys photography and his work can be viewed at brucecairns.com.
