Growing old happens to us all, as we age our bodies decline in function and our risk of certain illnesses increases. These things can contribute to us becoming less mobile and independent. Little things such as playing with the grandchildren or doing general jobs around the house & garden become harder.
The good news is we can delay this decline, we can manage this process & it is available to us all. The answer lies in exercise. And just in case you’re thinking this isn’t for you, let me explain what I do.
My name is Sheryl, I’m a GP referral qualified fitness instructor. This means I’m trained to work with & do work with people who may have medical conditions such as osteoporosis, osteoarthritis, respiratory diseases (C.O.P.D.), high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity, diabetes.
I teach exercise classes adapted to suit the person’s needs. This is in a group environment. All exercises can be performed whilst seated if necessary, and the class is a gentle introduction to getting back to & maintaining fitness. You’ll be surprised what you can achieve by taking a steady and gentle approach.
When is it?
Thursdays school term time only 1.30-2.30 at Jubilee Family Centre Aylsham.
